Chicago Bears OT J’Marcus Webb has recently been prone to unfortunate false starts, reports Webb’s longtime girlfriend Angela Baker.
“The false starts, they’re just a problem that he’s been having lately,” stated Baker. “I tell him all the time, ‘it’s okay. It happens to lots of offensive tackles. We can just reset and try again.’”
While Baker has remained publicly supportive of Webb’s abilities, insiders claim her patience is beginning to wear thin.
“Webb has really been a disappointment to her,” claimed a source close to the couple. “He’s got all the physical tools, but he just seems to let the pressure get to him in crunch time. One more false start, and she’s going to put him on her physically unable to perform list, and go out looking for a free agent to fill that slot.”
