NEW YORK – Pop/fashion icon Lady Gaga, while watching the first quarter of the Pittsburgh-Detroit game from her Manhattan penthouse, remarked that the throwback uniforms worn by the Steelers were, “the ugliest, most hideous goddamn thing any human has ever dared to display on their body,” according to sources close to the diva.
“Jesus, what is that costume they’re wearing?” sneered the singer of the black and yellow striped vintage jerseys. “It looks like a swarm of bumblebees vomited on a rack of K-Mart pajamas. My god, how can those guys stand to wear something so tacky?”
The flamboyant Gaga, whose past ensembles have included a chicken outfit, a sweater woven from dozens of Kermit the Frog dolls, and a dress made entirely of raw meat, refused to watch the game beyond the opening drive, claiming the Steelers uniforms, “are about to make my eyes explode from pure gaudiness”
“The best outfits are the simplest,” she opined, while switching over to the Oakland-Houston matchup. “Like the Raiders. Basic black and silver. No frills, nothing fancy. Just pure elegance and style, without any gimmicks. That’s what this world needs more of.”
